As an active Foreign Service Officer, SAIS Doctorate of International Affairs student Deneyse Kirkpatrick has spent much of her career connecting Americans with the people of West Africa. While her past diplomatic achievements speak for themselves, in the future Deneyse hopes to continue connecting American HBCUs with universities in Africa. She recently released an article for The Atlantic Council titled “Pan-Africanism and Soccer: How Africa can Secure its Next Diplomatic Win.”
