
SAIS Hosts Major Conference on World Trade

WASHINGTON, DC — On Oct. 1-2, SAIS hosted the last two days of the “Challenges Facing the World Trade System” conference in Kenney Auditorium — an event spanning a range of panels and speakers who commented on all things international trade. Hosted in conjunction with Columbia University — who hosted day one in New York — topics contoured on the Trans-Pacific Partnership, Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership, among others. Speakers included, among others, Columbia’s Jadish Bhagwati, SAIS’ Pravin Krishna, Anne Krueger, and Matthias Matthijs, Swedish Minister of Trade Ewa Bjorling, OECD’s Stefan Tangermann.
