SGA Hosts Yearly Italian Dinner in DC

WASHINGTON — The Student Government Association hosted the annual “Italian Dinner” on Wednesday, Oct. 8, a tradition that brings together students from all three campuses — second-year Bologna, Nanjing, and DC students (all enrolled in DC) — in an atmosphere of food, drinks, and conversation. SAIS provided the food — an assembly line of salad, pasta, and bread — and students brought their own beverages.
Second-year Bologna students Ambra Avenia, Giulia Motolese, and Paul Stack kicked off the event with welcome remarks, and then Stack introduced the “Selfie” video that second-year student Karishma Chanrai produced. A compilation of selfie photos SAISers took over the summer, the video is a parody of The Chainsmokers video that went viral. From 7pm to 9pm, SAISers relished the pause from academics, enjoyed Italian food, and mingled with fellow classmates.
